Congratulations to Hampstead's Bantam A & Midget B Hockey Teams

The Cote St. Luc arena was rocking Friday night (March 26) at game 3 of the best out of 3 Bantam A finals between Montreal West/Hampstead and Westmount. The teams had split games one and two.

After three hard fought periods, the game was tied. The ten minute overtime period was one for the ages and solved nothing – which forced a shootout to determine the winner. The only goal in the shootout came from Hampstead’s Lawrence Slapcoff. Sacha Gubany then took matters into his own hands slamming the door shut stopping all three attempts made by the Wings.

The Knights head coach David Stein gave his input on the game and season. “It is all about a system and the team buying in. As a team we were not the most talented. However, it shows that when 16 players buy into a system and are not selfish and play as a unit - effort, determination and discipline can overcome ability.
