Anthony Housefather launches Mount Royal Youth Council

Anthony Housefather, Member of Parliament for Mount Royal and Chair of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, is pleased to announce the launch of his Mount Royal Youth Council.

“As someone who was first elected at a young age, I strongly believe that the concerns of people of all ages must be part of the political process.  The views of young Canadians need to be heard which is  why I am launching a new initiative to bring youth together from across Mount Royal to give me their feedback on issues facing our country ,” said Housefather.

This council will consists of 10 to 15 young Canadians from the Mount Royal riding aged between 14 and 24 and will meet on a regular basis to discuss national issues.  This is a non-partisan activity and young Canadians from all political perspectives are encouraged to apply.
